From Crisis to an Even Greater You
Never waste a good crisis. It is a crisis that usually brings a person to therapy. Maybe life is feeling overwhelming, you just can't take the stress, the anxiety, or the fighting. Therapy can help with that. It can help you out in the moment.
But the other thing therapy can do is help create an even better you than the pre-crisis you. It's not just about making things better, it's about learning from the crisis and becoming more crisis-proof.
That is what I strive for in my therapy work. Working together with you I want to help improve the whole person. Not just solve a situation. It is my belief that this work can help you grow beyond what you even thought was possible.
My office is conveniently located in the Park Ave area of Rochester in a private building. I am licensed and available to clients throughout New York State.

Why therapy?
So much of our day is spent in our own heads. Thoughts come up, rattle around our minds and rebound off each other. It can be hard to draw any firm conclusions.
The appeal of counseling is that it gives space for these thoughts to air, to come out fully formed, and to grow into something larger. No longer repetitive or snippet thoughts, but nice long threads.
As part of my personal philosophy I stay curious about the world and the people that make it up. We are as diverse in our personalities and perspectives as we are in our cultures and outward traits.
Humans are complex beings. We are never complete, but always in process.
In counseling you get to spend an hour with a professional trained in helping draw out those thought threads. A professional who is empathetic, remains present with you, and after getting to know you and your concerns can offer informed counsel.
My background is a broad mix of experience, study, and areas of interest. I have knowledge in therapy, history, business, social work, child development, meditation, neuroscience, sociology, philosophy, and spirituality. I do not use one single therapeutic approach, but customize and adapt counseling to suit my client’s personality and needs.
Anxiety, depression, work-life balance, mental health issues, they are all part of the human experience.
Let’s talk it out.
